Job Seeking Techniques Workshop - Enhance Your Opportunities for a Successful Career

This 2-day course is suitable to equip individuals with no experience in resume writing and interviewing skill. Through this course, you will have a basic understanding of on the important of changing mindset, to recover from failure of being unemployed, retrenched or terminated with rejection from no new jobs to being positive and confident.
 
The course will start off with an introduction to the psychology challenge that nothing is impossible, to condition the mind to perceive failure as challenge and not disappointment. It comes with real case studies to illustrate how success people overcome dejection. Thereafter, it proceeds to teach you the importance of rapport and instant rapport when it comes to interview technique.

The afternoon session focuses on the foundation on statistics interpretation which helps you to analyse the job market trend, and to apply for the correct jobs that are in demand in the market. It shows you ways to determine your market values, to apply the law of demand and supply and the technique to source for the correct job portal to stay prominent.

On the second day, you learn how to craft the credible executive summary, with the various core competencies to capture the recruiter's attention. The art of writing goes beyond listing what you have done, but rather to use creative verbs to showcase your relevant skill sets to stay relevant for the next job.

 

By the end of the 2nd day workshop, you get to handle the various difficult questions recruiter will ask through the STAR format, a major step to move away from textbook answers to stay interesting and yet genuine in your reply. You will also learn how to use body gesture to attract recruiters, sending the correct message and to secure the job.
