Steps to Starting a Business Workshop - Take the Steps to Start a Successful Venture

This 1-day course is suitable to equip individuals with some basic knowledge of a business start up ranging from the business proposal, legal, finance, and marketing to strategic planning. Through this course, you will have an understanding of the important elements before starting a new business. 

 

The course will start off with an introduction to the 5 different business entities and the several considerations asking if you are ready to own a business or a company. It is common for new entrepreneurs to start a new business out of impulse and fail to consider long term challenges. The morning session focus on the foundation on the type of business entity, how to write a business plan, develop business SWOT analysis, GST registration and the Home Office Scheme. 

 

The early part of the afternoon session focus on Annual General Returns, the possible breaches and the steps to closing  a company or converting to limited liability partnership. These are important knowledge for any business partners to know the business cycle. Later the afternoon, we move to the marketing portion to understand the steps to create low cost and yet effective marketing techniques. There will also be a segment on consumer behaviours to share the 4 different buying patterns of consumers, to maximise products and service profitability. 

 

Towards the end of the workshop, you get to apply real case studies on successful Singaporeans and to understand their road of success, much from the first step they crafted the ideas and the failures they encounter in life. Learning from their mistakes is one best way to prevent similar mistakes when you create new business.
